50" Samsung DLP projection Big Screen picture problem?

in the lower right hand side of TV has like black lines on the screen but under it u can still see a picture through it it looks like a small mountain its like 10" long and about 4" high the lines are going up and slighly to the right going up the screen looks like something was brushed against the screen but nothing has and and it is not scrached or nothing what could this be and will my warranty cover it I have 8 months left on the warranty thanks.
at the very 1st start of this black almost looks like a crack could the buld have made the screen crack?

Often times on those Samsung DLP units, the lens cover (which keeps dust out) can partially flip over the lens that the pictures shows through.

Indeed, you are under warranty. You can call 800-SAMSUNG first thing in the morning, and have a service call dispatched. The nice thing about Samsung's DLP units are that they will send someone to your house to do the repair in the first year. You don't even have to bring it to a repair center.

Your issue is uncommon, but of all the things that could go wrong, this is relatively minor and could probably been fixed relatively quickly.
