problem connecting my laptop to Samsung 40 "LCD HDTV ....?

I have samsung 40 "LCD HDTV (LN-T4066F). When I try to connect my TV with my Lab-top (sony vaio) with the VGA cable all resolutions work until I change the resolution to 1360x768 or 1920x1080 resolution is HD. if this change in resolution, the screen says "unsupported mode." I do not know what a problem. my graphics card is capable of that resolution and my TV is capable of that resolution (1080p). any help will be appreciated. refrash exchange rate not to work. refrash rate to 70 and 75. Still does not work any ideas?

I it is necessary to change the refresh rate. Try that, might help.
